LEARNING, GROWING, AND HAVING FUN IN FAITH!

Join us for religious education!

Are you looking for your children to deepen their Catholic faith, connect with their peers, and have fun all at the same time? Our family-based, small group religious education model helps families grow and learn together, prepares students for their Sacraments, and lets them feel known and loved through every question, prayer, and doubt along the way.

Come learn with us! Classes take place in our  during Sunday Mass at our Education Center at Saint Bartholomew Church!

A PROGRAM FOR ANY AGE

Grades K-5

Our program engages young learners, grouping them by age during breakout sessions at Sunday Mass at our Education Center at Saint Bartholomew Church! The week's lessons and readings are tied directly to the Gospel, tailored to meet children where they are so they can learn, connect to, and share in the Mass alongside their parents. Videos, Bible readings, and presentations by our catechists keep children engaged all through Mass readings before rejoining their parents.

Grades 6-8

Confirmation Prep

Confirmation preparation is a family-based, two-year program for eligible students in 9th-12th grade. To prepare for this important milestone in their religious journey, confirmation students (and at least one parent) will participate in monthly gatherings at the Education Center at Saint Bartholomew Church.  Class will begin with the evening Mass and continues after Mass as teens are able to grow in their faith together through small group discussion and activities.

Please reach out if your teen is in grades 11 or 12 and has not received Confirmation and would like to, please reach out to our team for more information on how to get started!

Sacrament Preparation

First Reconciliation and Holy Communion

Receiving their first Sacraments is a big milestone in a young Catholic's life! Sacrament Preparation is a family-based program for students in 2nd grade or older who have completed at least one year of Religious Education. Families who are eligible to make their sacraments will continue to participate in the weekly Religious Education class during Mass, as well as our monthly Family Days.

Throughout the year families will also participate in an additional Family Day focusing on preparing the students to receive their sacraments. Students and parents are required to attend.

Please reach out if your child is past 2nd Grade or is already a teen and has not received the sacraments for more information on how to get started!

Together As a Family!

Connecting with your community

Each family that registers to participate in Religious Education will also participate in Family Day!
One Sunday each month throughout the year, families will be able to grow in their understanding and relationship with Jesus Christ together in a fun and engaging way.  Families will also have the opportunity to connect with other families in the community!

Become a Religious Education Minister

Would you like to be a part of growing the faith and friendship of Jesus with students and families?
As an R.E. MINISTER (catechist), you will work with a small group of students during Sunday Mass each week to deepen each others' faith through Scripture and prayer.
R.E. MINISTER (Catechists) must be at least 18 years old, and will be provided training.  Lessons will be provided, so no need to worry about prep!

Youth Volunteer Opportunities

Just because you need to be over 18 to become a catechist doesn't mean you can't help teach!
If you're under the age of 18, you can become a catechist assistant and join in guiding young students along their religious journey. You will work alongside a catechist to help run small groups.  Lessons will be provided beforehand.

ASL Assistance Available

Through the loving dedication of members of our community, we are fortunate to be able to work with families in need of hearing assistance to provide a volunteer American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter at certain masses, as well as providing ASL interpretation for our Family Resource videos.
